As long as I can remember, I have been an artist. I have made art and creatively explored as many mediums as possible. I grew up in California, schooled in the Bay Area, near San Francisco. I earned my B. A in art from the University of California at Santa Cruz. I came to live in Jamaica while in my mid twenties in 1981. I have lived in Jamaica ever since.
My work is influenced by my natural environment, the wide variety of materials, current events and people I meet.
I have exhibited my work in the National Gallery of Jamaica’s annual and biannual group exhibitions and in several of the galleries around the island. I’ve handcrafted a variety of items, dyed fabrics and artwear, painted furniture and much more.
I have done commissioned, site specific projects such as murals, painted furniture, collage, driftwood installations and projects with children in many parts of Jamaica.
